University of Tennessee Volunteers

The University of Tennessee Volunteers derived their name from the Tennessee's nickname,
the "Volunteer State," which comes from the men and women who answer the call to serve in the military. So the men and women on athletic teams, with the exception of women's basketball, are called the Volunteers (usually shortened to "Vols"). This painting highlights Tennessee football fans, players, and the historic Neyland Stadium, while featuring the University's campus along with a large part of the city of Knoxville, TN.
