San Clemente, California

San Clemente is a California coastal city midway between Los Angeles and San Diego known for its ocean and mountain views, moderate climate and Spanish colonial architecture. Originally inhabited by the Acjachemen people, it was colonized by Spanish missionaries in 1776. With a population of just under 65,000, San Clemente is a largely upscale, white-collar community made famous when former President Richard Nixon established his "Western White House" here.
