Pigeon Forge, Tennessee - Buffalo Games Edition

Nestled in the Wears Valley on the Little Pigeon River, Pigeon Forge is a family vacation destination drawing over 10 million visitors each year. The area got its name from the now extinct passenger pigeons that used to fill the skies, and from an iron forge built about 1820 by Isaac Love. An area theme park opened in 1961 and was purchased in 1986 by the legendary entertainer Dolly Parton, who spruced it up and reopened it as Dollywood. Since then, the area has experienced explosive growth. Pigeon Forge entertainment options are nearly endless featuring go-karts, dinner shows, mini-golf, go-karts, pancake houses, more mini-golf, and did we mention go-karts? There was seriously too much to squeeze into one painting. It seems like flocks of tourists have replaced the passenger pigeons, but the fun is not endangered in Pigeon Forge. Come and play!
