Lake Tahoe is the largest Alpine lake in North America, and the second deepest lake in America! Known for its crystal-clear (and cold!) mountain waters, it is surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada range and is a year-round tourist attraction for skiers and outdoor enthusiasts.
